AS2-003A AEC Swift SMS Class Single Deck Bus (Factory Error - Wrong front registration)

In May 2006 we released a special code 2 SMS model, this was produced exclusively for us by Britbus and was a limited edition of just 144 models. The model itself is similar to the standard Britbus release AS2-09 but our version depicts SMS317 (EGN317J) and has the standard white on black 114 blinds that are set for the route's southern Ruislip Lido terminal. The model carries the later style of livery with flake grey waistband, white roundels and yellow front entrance doors. The SMS class operated the 114 route between Ruislip Lido & Harrow Weald from October 1971 until they were replaced by New Leyland National LS class vehicle in August 1979. A small number of our batch of models, around 6, were found to have been produced with the front registration EGN163J found on standard Britbus release AS2-09.
