THE REAL COACH
The Y type was first introduced in the late 1960's and the unusual forward slanting side windows became a familiar sight on the roads of Britain. During the 1970's the AY type was introduced which featured a revised front grille. Alexander bodywork had always been a popular choice of the Scottish Bus Co fleets, and the Y and AY types were to follow this trend. In later life many of these vehicles were downgraded for use on bus services.

THE EFE MODEL
Both the Y (225) and AY (227) type models were introduced into the EFE range in 1996. The early releases didn't reflect the strong Scottish connection associated with these vehicles however since 2001 this has been addressed and Scottish liveries have now become more dominant.
