99201 - US Army AEC 10T10 Coach	The War Time Series This series was introduced in 2005 to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of VE Day (Victory in Europe), the models in the series all carry liveries used during the Second World War, and there is a strong focus on the London scene with 5 of the 8 models depicting London Transport related vehicles. The models all carry the white war time blackout markings which were applied to make the vehicles more visible at night. Most of the models also have masked head and side lights a feature required to compile with the strict black out regulations. Some of the models have anti blast netting on the windows and most depict unusual livery variations applied during this period either as a result of austerity measure, or to try and make the vehicles less vunable to air born attacks. The series was announced at the 2005 Excel London Toy Fair and initially consisted of 6 models, however this was later increased to 8 with the addition of two further provincial buses from Birmingham and Plymouth, which like London suffered heavy bombing raids. In 2016 a reworked version of the final model 99207 was produced as a commissioned item and this retained the War Time Buses numbering (99207A) upon release. All the original eight models were issued in special grey and black packaging and were released in two batches of four models in late May and early June 2005. A number of the original models have also been re-worked and issued as either standard or code 2 items. These models were however released with normal catalogue numbers related to the model type, these models were all issued in the original War Time Buses packaging.
