New Jotus Resin Model Announced

Jotus/Resin Specialists are to release a resin version of the London Transport Leyland Cub CR Class single deck bus. These will be available as a standard release in the UK and will feature a country area green vehicle working a central area 25B service to Victoria. The model is expected to be released in either May or June and follows the recent release of a specially commissioned version depicting CR 16 or route 387 Tring Stn which was produced exclusively for the London Bus Musuem at Brooklands. Stock of that version already seems to have been exhausted following its release at the Museum's recent Spring Open Day. Click the link below to view a selection of photographs of the new version. New B-T Models Announced & A New Bus Tooling

Details of several new B-T 1/76 scale models have been listed on the John Ayrey Website. There's another Duple Dominant Coach, six DA series lorries and four versions of a brand new tooling of a "Bristol MW SD". B020 British Coachways (Wallace Arnold) - Leyland Leopards Duple Dominant II Coach No photographs have been published of this new tooling as yet. B201A Eastern Counties (Cromer) - Bristol MW SD B201B Eastern Counties (Ipswich) - Bristol MW SD B202A Crosville (Blaenau) - Bristol MW SD B202B Crosville (Nantwich) - Bristol MW SD There are six new 1/76 scale DA series lorries although only four have been illustrated. DA75 Leyland Terrier Dropside - British Rail (yellow) DA76 Commer Bulk Tipper - National Coal Board DA77 Karrier Bantam Artic Van - British Railway (yeelow) DA78 Leyland Octopus 4 Axle Flatbed - BRS - Sheffield DA79 AEC Mammoth Major Tanker - Charringtons DA80 Leyland Terrier Flatbed - British Rail A correction to a report I posted on March 11th is that the A series lorries A013A & A013B don't appear to have been released to the retail trade yet despite the John Ayrey site showing this to be the case.

Latest EFE Subscriber's Newsletter

The third EFE subscriber's newsletter of the year arrived today, along with the latest release sheet. Reduced manufacturing capacity in China continues to cause production delays. To overcome this EFE are working with factories to increase their manufacturing capacity to get them back on track, but it will take some time before all the effort being put in shows any results. In the meantime EFE we do all they can to keep their enthusiasts supplied with a varied selection of new models to collect. Some of these will be similar to vehicles featured before with authentic new identities. EFE rely totally on the support of their collectors as they rebuild the production facilities at the factories. The Ensignbus AEC 10T10 coach in wartime Clubmobile livery produced exclusively for members of the EFE Subscription Service has now been mailed out to those who ordered it. The model is now in short supply and those still wishing to order it should do so without delay. According to the details shown of the latest release sheet the flat windscreen Ribble Bristol VRT 38114 has also been further revised and will now depict vehicle 1979 (NCK979J) rather than the originally announced 2000 (OCK100K). EFE's Forthcoming Ribble VRT Model Has Been Revised

EFE has revised the colour of the Ribble fleet names on model 38114 announced earlier this week. (see March 31 news item) The original pre-production sample model had gold fleet names which will now be replaced by the correct cream examples on the final production models.
