Leyland Leopard / AEC Reliance BET Single Deck Bus

BET Federation Group adopted standard types for use across it's various operating companies, their single deck bus body was built to a similar design by Weymann, Marshall or Willowbrook and were usually mounted on either a Leyland Leopard or AEC Reliance chassis. The vehicles were also sold to number of operators outside the BET group in the 1960's and early 1970's.

This was one of the models which formed the initial OOC range at it's launch back in 1994, in fact model 97901 was officially the first ever OOC model released, it being available to the public at the official Corgi launch event at Gaydon in June 1994.

The casting is actually based on the Willowbrook body, the give away being the front indicators which are fitted in a vertical position rather than horizontal position, a feature only found on the Willowbrook built bodies.
