IXO Open Top 1/43rd RT Bus Model
IXO have now issued a photograph of this model that was announced last year, I believe the release of the model is now imminent.

Sadly some of the model detailing used for this completely fictitious vehicle leaves a bit to be desired, it carries a Routemaster registration & fleet number, odd looking LT fleet names & has a rather non-standard front destination display for route 11. Meanwhile all the adverts relate to "The Original London Transport Sightseeing Tour" and the side blind proclaims "Sightseeing with Live Commentary"!
A more authentic version of this model was originally produced for the Hatchette Buses of the World partwork available in parts of mainland Europe, it depicted one of Guernsey Buses' open top vehicles.

The UK RRP for this 1/43rd scale model is £53.99.

EFE Announce First Enhanced Routemaster Model
Bachmann announced late last year that work was underway on enhancing the EFE Routemaster models, the main improvement will be the addition of the previously missing side panel ribbing on these popular models.

Today at the Model Rail Scotland event Bachmann revealed the details of the first planned release of one of the enhanced model.

Pre-orders for the model (RRP £34.95) are now being accepted at Bachmann appointed stockists.

Update 27 February
Bachmann has sent some further artwork for the model following enquires asking whether the model will include the roof decoration applied to the real vehicle. As you can be seen below it does, the design cell also shows the treatment of the rear of the model.

New Devon General Model Kits For 2019
Nigel Roberts has sent me details of his next pair of resin bus kits, these are both expected to be ready towards the middle of this year. The pictures below show the masters.

Devon General celebrates it centenary this year and these kits follow the successful release of a Bristol SUL coach & SUS bus last year.
The SUS bus has now sold out, although Nigel informs me he may consider a limited re-run of this kit if there is sufficient interest expressed. The SUL kit is still available, but stock is now very limited.
