New Britbus Model Commissions For Irish Railway Models

Irish Railway Models have commission two Britbus Alexander RH models in an all over livery for Iarnrod Eireann Dart service which was applied back in 1994. The models depict Dublin Bus RH41 (90-D-1041) and are available with two route options of either 11 or 48A. Each model is supplied with a numbered certificate (300 of each route) and is priced £51.50 plus P&P. Orders can be placed via the Irish Railway Models online store. Facebook page link

Bachmann Collectors Club Event EFE Model

Bachmann announced they would have a never before issued EFE model available at their Collectors Club members only "Practically Perfect Sale" event last Sunday. The model in question would appear to be an Alexander Y Type coach in the same base two tone blue livery that was used for Bachmann/EFE 25th Anniversary model 25519. . I can't confirm this yet, but its possible the model in question could either be 25519 which was a gift given to attendees of a 2014 Bachmann trade event or the never issued 25515 which was manufactured in Baxters livery, some of these were later reworked to produce the EFE 20th Anniversary model & 25515AS the previously mentioned Bachmann version. A small poster showing the model is visible in one of the event photographs posted on the Bachmann Collectors Club Facebook Page, unfortunately its not clear enough to confirm the model's identy. Facebook Page Link EFE later issued another Baxters version of the same vehicle in a revised livery as 25516.

Omnidekka Models Update

Omnidekka Models have now opened pre-orders Metrobus Scania Omnidekka YN56FDP (ES-20A&B) and these are due May/June 2022. They will come with a limited card and a designed box; they will also have the tree guard fitted to the N/S. 400 are going to be made in 2 routes as below ES-20A 420 - Whitebushes ES-20B 460 - Epsom Prices will be £50 for 1 or £98 for both routes. These will have stock number ES-20 A&B, you can find them on page 2 of the omnidekkamodels.com website. Updates will be posted on the Omnidekka Facebook group as pictures arrive from the factory during the manufacturing process. Update on other Omnidekka Models' commissions: Go North East Solo SR - sample models have been made by Model 1 and are on their way to the UK. Lancashire United Versa - sample models are in the process of being made and these are expected to be complete by the end of the year.

Brekina Announce Another Routemaster Livery

Brekina have announced another new issue of their 1/87th scale Routemaster model. This latest model is expected to be released in Germany during October with the UK release set to follow later. 61113 - AEC Routemaster Open Top Bus (Route 27 Teddington Station)- London Transport Austria Wine (GB) The model doesn't appear to carry fleet or registration numbers, but appears to be based on the livery carried by RM1015 (15 CLT) in 1973. Special EFE Model For Bachmann Collectors Club Event

Bachmann are organizing a special Practically Perfect Sale event for members of the Bachmann Collectors Club on Sunday 26th September at Great Central Railway, Quorn & Woodhouse Station, Woodhouse Road, Quorn, Leicestershire. Entrance to the event is free to club members only, although non-members can gain instant access by joining the club on the day. Bachmann will have a wide selection of returned or refurbished Bachmann Branchline, Graham Farish and Bachmann Narrow Gauge models on sale, all at exceptional prices. Additionally they will also have an "EFE model for sale which has never previously been offered for sale – a true collectors item!" There's no further information regarding what type of EFE model is being offered, so it could be a bus, lorry or something else! If anyone plans to attends the event, I'd very much appreciate any information regarding this EFE model, I can then add it to the site model list. Club members can enjoy discounted train travel on the Great Central Railway with a day runabout ticketed available at the special price of £16.00. You will receive a discount voucher when entering the Sale which can be redeemed at the Booking Office when purchasing your train ticket. Class 47 No. 1705 ‘Sparrowhawk’ (above) – star of our Brand New Brush video will be on display in Quorn yard, and the There and Back Light Railway (below) will also be there, offering free rides for Bachmann Collectors Club members on their 7¼” gauge miniature railway. Three New Oxford Diecast Coach Models Announced

Oxford Diecast have published details of the new models that will be included in the Sep 21 to Jan 22 catalogue. There are three new coach models among the many models announced across the various scales. Upcoming Oxford Diecast Release & Next Catalogue

The latest batch of new & re-run models has been posted on the Oxford Diecast website today. Among the models is one new 1/76th scale coach and a re-issue of the N scale Blackpool Dick Kerr Tram NTR003. 76IR6006 Irizar i6 Coach - City Link Air (YS16 LMV / route AIR Edinburgh Airport) Other re-issues include two plain white models of Volvo Boniface Recovery vehicle (SP023) and high roof Ford Transit (76FT006) which would be ideal for repainting. Oxford Diecast are expected to reveal details of the new models included in their next catalogue on Facebook tomorrow evening (17 Sep).

Corgi Model Bus Releases For September

Corgi have a bumper batch of bus models scheduled for release later this month, all five of the remaining 2021 New Routemaster releases are due along with the second batch of three Beatles album theme AEC Routemaster models. I not able to yet confirm the routes for the Only Fools & Horses models, the sample model photographs show route 55 destinations applied while the Corgi website model descriptions state the route 73 destinations, route 73 is actually operated by Arriva London. Corgi have some online store bundles for the Beatles Routemasters, these models are now officially priced £21.99 each although can also be found for less from several other retail sources. The latest three shown below are available with a small discount in (BUNDLECBEA2) for £64.99. The five earlier releases are available in two further bundles with larger discounts, of £99.99 for (BUNDLECBEA1) or with the additional Beatles Yellow Submarine model for £119.95 in (BUNDLECBEA3. Mini GT Land Rover Defender Post Bus Model

Mini GT have produced a 1/64th scale Land Rover Defender 110 Royal Mail Post bus. The model uses the UK right-hand drive version of the Mini-GT tooling and is based on vehicle 2770015 (which although not applied to the model was registered K408 BSG in real life and operated in Northern Scotland).
