| Press Release: Northcord Model Co UKBUS9010 |
Date: 28th November 2012. Stagecoach London & Scania celebrating 100 years Northcord Model Company is proud to releaseits second model under the new company name. This is ukbus 9010, using the Scania OmniCitydouble-deck casting and carrying the standard,red TfL livery with Stagecoach fleetnames and East London Bus & Coach legal lettering. Additionally, this model carries special lettering in the advertising spaces for Scania“Celebrating 100 years of Scania Buses and Coaches”. The model as replicated is Stagecoach 15174(LX10 AUJ) on route 48 to London Bridge with 48 via Hackney carried in the side destination.  This new NMC model comes in packaging that was designed and produced for CMNL, although the model is released by NMC. The replica features excellent detailing, inside and out, such as realistic-looking handpoles and handrails. This is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. To achieve a smoother look the glazing has been affixed from the outside of the metal bodyshell. The brand new ukbus 9010 model is based on a Limited Edition of only 720 pieces produced, and each model comes with a Limited Edition, numbered certificate. |

| Press Release: Northcord Model Co UKBUS1053 |
Date: 27th November 2012. Ensignbus Northcord Model Company is proud to releaseits first model under the new company name using the well-known casting – the AlexanderALX400-bodied Dennis Trident. This is ukbus1053 carrying the iconic Ensignbus blue and silver livery.  This first new NMC model comes in new generic packaging and features Ensignbus 103(V479 KJN) on route 22 to Grays Bus Station (Belhus, Lakeside) with 22 via Lakeside carried in the side desination. Ensignbus acquired V479 KJN in September 2009 after it had operated in service with Stagecoach Selkent and East London Bus & Coach in London for many years. Although it was originally a dual-door bus for TfL service, V479 KJN was later rebuilt as single-door and repainted into the stylish Ensignbus colours. The replica features excellent detailing, inside and out. This is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. The brand new ukbus 1053 model is based on a Limited Edition of only 720 pieces produced. |

| New Trolleybus Model Book |
I've been sent details of a new book which covers both model & real trolleybuses. The publication "Trolleybus miniatures, models and the real things" has taken authors Ashley Bruce & Gottfried Kure 4 years to research and compile. It contains details of over 1270 models from 23 countries and 282 producers, these include company display pieces, museum exhibits as well as commercially produced models and toys. It also delves into attempts at making moving models and catalogues the various commercial motorised models available. There are 23 national trolleybus histories dating from 1882 to the present day and references to 226 full sized prototypes. The full colour 416 pages contain 1532 photographs, diagrams and illustrations. The book is priced £35.00 plus P&P and is available now from its Publisher Trolleybooks. Several sample pages can also be viewed on the publisher's site. |

| Corgi Subscriber OOC Models Update |
The latest Corgi Collectors Club Magazine arrived today and gives an update on the OOC Club model for 2012 and 2013. The much delayed 2012, OM46014B, Lothian Wright Eclipse Urban 2 in The Queen of Scots livery with route 49 branding is now expected to be delivered to Corgi in December. The Club version is limited to 500 pieces and is an exclusive for its members, it is available as stand alone purchase or as part of the of one of the yearly club subscription options.  Corgi have also produced a second version of the model OM46014A which has been commissioned by the Harburn Hobbies Model Shop in Edinburgh. Like the club version this is limited to 500 pieces and the only difference between the two models themselves is the route 49 destination carried. The club version shows "The Jewel" while the Harburn Hobbies model is bound for "Rosewell". The Harburn Hobbies version is priced £32.00 and is due in December. Those interested in purchasing an example can contact the retailer on 0131 556 3233 (or +44 131 556 3233 from outside the UK) to place an advance order.  Turning to the 2013 Corgi Club OOC model, Corgi expect the New Bus for London model with Singin' in the Rain advertisements (OM46603) to be available in early 2013. Like the 2012 model this can either be purchased separately or combined with the 2013 club subscription. It will now be a limited edition of 500 rather than 750 pieces. |

| Latest EFE Subscribers Newsletter |
| The seventh subscriber's newsletter of the year and latest model release sheet arrived from EFE today. Frank Joyce mentions on going problems with the limited supply of models from China which has been starving EFE of new products. To keep up a steady flow of releases EFE have been revisiting bus fleets and model types that have been featured in the past. In this way they have been able to maintain a steady but lower flow of models at 5 or 6 a month rather than the 8 per month produced in the past. The Subscriber's East Yorkshire AEC Renown model has sold well and less than 50 are now left. Two further subscriber models are planned for Christmas and order forms and full details will be sent out with the next newsletter. The models will feature a Guy Arab II Utility in post war London Transport livery and an Eastern National Bristol VRT Series I numbered 38101A. Two previously unannounced models are shown among the list of forthcoming model releases. 29630 Solent Blue Line - Leyland Olympian 29012 Yorkshire Rider - GM Standard Fleetline EFE will be attending the Manchester Museum of Transport's Christmas Cracker event at Boyle Street on Saturday & Sunday the 1st & 2nd December. | Latest Release From Atlas Editions |
| A Northern Scottish Leyland Olympian arrived today from Atlas Editions and completes the Great British Bus Collection of the initial 31 models previously announced. It's hasn't been confirmed by Atlas whether they intend to extend the collection with additional models. I'll let you know if anything else turns up next month! This model came in the flimsy plastic mailing bag rather than the card box of the two previous pair of models. Luckily my example survived unscathed. Jim has informed that as of the 30th October he has stopped sales of EFE models after 12 years of online trading. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Jim for his regular contributions over the this long period and support he's given to this site. His input will be very much missed by myself and I'm sure his many customers will likewise miss his friendly and reliable service.
