Confirmed B-T Models Release

B-T Models have finally released a model which was first announced over three years ago! D69 Meridith & Drew - Leyland Beaver MO Artic with Single Axle Box Van Finally as this will be the last site update of 2012, I'd like to thank everyone who has taken the time to contribute to site over the past 12 months and in particular Peter Harrison for all the time he puts in researching and updating his model lists, the latest versions of which have been added to the site today. Confirmed Commissioned OOC Release

Harburn Hobbies have contacted me to say they've now received stock of their specially commissioned version of the OOC Wright Urban Eclipse in Lothian Buses' Queen of Scots livery. They are currently processing customer orders. OM46014A Lothian Buses (Queen of Scots - Route 49 Rosewell) - Wright Urban Eclipse The models which are a limited edition of 500 pieces and priced £32.00 can still be ordered from Harburn Hobbies via their website. There's no news as yet on the second version of this model (OM46014B) which is the Corgi Collectors Club's 2012 OOC members model and will carry "The Jewel" destinations.

Two Further Northcord Models Announced

The John Ayrey's site has added a pair of ADL Enviro200 Dart models to the list of forthcoming Northcord models. Both are scheduled for release in February and have a RRP of £54.99. B-T Models will now issue two versions of the forthcoming Bristol Lodekka LD1 in Southern Vectis NBC green livery. B103A Southern Vectis N.B.C. Latest EFE Subscriber's Newsletter & Two New Models

EFE have mailed out the final subscriber newsletter of the year along with copies of ninth Release sheet of 2012. Frank Joyce reports that only a small quantity of the two models (20010A & 29009A) produced for the Manchester Museum of Transport's Christmas Cracker event remain and that these can be purchased from the Museum's Shop. Those wishing to purchase examples should contact the Museum by phone on 0161 205 2122 to check stock availabilty & prices. The museum is open 10am to 4.30pm (Wed/Sat/Sun) There are no new models mentioned in this newsletter other than those exhibited at the Christmas Cracker Event. (see news item post on December 2) However I've also received the December trade release sheet which lists the four models mentioned above along with one previously unannounced model and the full details of another model briefly mentioned by EFE in a recent Buses magazine article.

EFE have today released their final six models of the year. 14606 London Country North West/Luton & District - Single Door Leyland National Series B 16229 Bristol Greyhound - Bristol MW Coach 31204 British Road Services - ERF KV 4 Axle Flatbed Lorry 35803 Maidstone & District - Single Door Plaxton Pointer I Dennis Dart SLF 38106 Southdown - Bristol VRT Series I Double Deck Bus 38201 Central S.M.T. - Leyland Leopard Alexander Y Type Bus London Transport Museum has confirmed that the commissioned London Transport RF (23320B) announced yesterday (News item here) will depict RF315 on route 136, this was a late change from the previously planned route 240A which it was discovered had been operated with crew operated RFs without doors.

Three New EFE Commissions For London Transport Museum

The London Transport Museum has commissioned three new EFE models which are all scheduled to be released during January. There are two new models for the Museum's Victoria Coach Station series, these both depict Bristol Greyhound RELH coaches. Click Here for Rear view 99713 Bristol Greyhound (NHW 308F / London (via) Reading and M4) - Bristol RELH ECW Coach Click Here for Rear view 99714 Bristol Greyhound (NHW 31F / Southend on Sea) - Bristol RELH ECW Coach The third model is a little confusing as the Museum are claiming its back in stock and are quoting the reference number 23320B which does indeed match a red RF on route 240A which was originally announced by the Museum as a future release quite sometime ago. However the page for the model on the Museum's site gives details for a different model depicting RF315 on route 136 to Harrow on the Hill Station & Sth Harrow. The notes about the model below the said details however suggest the route will be 240A while photographs shows a model with the aforementioned route 136 blinds! I'll email the museum to see if I can get some clarification as to which route will be featured. The third model is a revised version of the long planned red RF 23320B. It had previously been planned to produce a model of RF383 on route 240A, but it has been discovered that this route was operated by crew RFs without doors so for authenticity the vehicle & route have been revised. New Edition of Routemaster Association's RML 50 Model

The Routemaster Association has produced a second edition of their 50th Anniversary RML model which they commissioned from EFE last year. The new code 3 version has different advertisements and new North Finchley destinations front & rear. The model depicts the same RML884 & route 104 as per the original code 2 version (31907) however. The original code 2 EFE model & the new code 3 2nd edition The model which is limited to 500 pieces is now on general sale and can be ordered using PayPal from the Routemaster Association's Online Shop. The models are priced £28.00 each plus £3.00 UK P&P. The original code 2 model is also still available for £27.95 from the same source. Further details can be found of the Association's www.routemaster.org.uk site.

Kingsway Models: Free Xmas 2012 Building Kit

The free Xmas 2012 Kingsway Models building kit can now be downloaded from their website. This year's kit is a half relief Wilkinsons high street shop which is now a common site across much of the UK. The free kits from previous years are also still available to download on the site which also contains details of all John Howe's extensive range of bus garages, high street shops & other buildings that make the prefect backdrop for 1/76 scale models of all kinds. Atlas Editions Confirm Great British Bus Collection Is Complete

I received a letter from Atlas Editions' Customer Service Department today confirming that they've now sent me the final model in their Great British Buses Collection. I've received a total of 31 models so it seems talk of further models being added to the series hasn't come to anything after all. A copy of the letter is shown below.

B-T Models: Photo of Southern Vectis Lodekka Published

John Ayrey have published the first photograph showing the forthcoming B-T Models Southern Vectis Bristol LD1 today. B103 Southern Vectis NBC - Bristol Lodekka LD1 Double Deck Bus (Open Platform) Since posting the image I've been contacted by Alan Wylie who has pointed out the fleet number & registration shown on the sample model don't match up. They should either by 533/LDL 732 or 555/ODL 15 hopefully B-T Models will adjust these before the release.
